CARVING PUMPKINS:

I have to say that carving pumpkins is not my favorite thing. It seems like every year my kids pick these ridiculously hard creations to carve. They seem to get bored with the project as soon as I cut off the top of the pumpkin, leaving me with a lot of work and three pumpkins to work on. This year I gave them a marker and told them to draw their pumpkin face. Addi then continued on with her little imagination and drew a face complete with eyelashes, pigtails, and bows in the pumpkins hair. One face was not enough though. She drew them all the way around the pumpkin, it was rather cute. Cameron drew one face. One easy face, complete with teeth. They both helped the whole time. Plus, I did this while Zack was sleeping, a bonus for me. They ended up being very cute. We cooked the seeds later that night. This is one of my favorite things!!! I love to eat pumpkin seeds. This year, my kids loved it too!! We ended up eating them all - and fast.

I buy the pumpkins just for the seeds!

Great job on all the carving/drawing skills with your pumpkins!!

I am totally feeling the pumpkin hair!! So cute! We tossed our seeds, but I wish we'd have cooked them up.

It is wonderful that you actually had good enough
weather to do all that outside! All your costumes were fantastic.
